"Inside Job"

I wrote some nasty stuff about the share market in Malaysia, and will continue to do so when appropriate (hopefully with some recommendations attached), but we do have to realize that in some other countries it has not always been that great either. In the US, many cases have been dealt with: Martha Steward was sentenced to 5 months jail for lying about insider trading. Enron and Worldcom were very bad CG cases, but the instigators have been locked up for so long (24 years and longer) that they will most likely spend the rest of their live in jail. But the big exception is the financial world, for some reason they seem to have escaped scrutiny of the 2008 financial crisis. Does this have to do with the generous donations they have made to both parties in the Congress?
